My tea & Arizona Beans recipe

I have decided to have a lazy day today as the weather is nice and I have some time to myself.

I have already put the dinner on as its in the slow cooker and so takes time to cook. It is a recipe that was given to me by a lady in Canada many years ago but is still used frequently in our house as it is tasty and not expensive.

Here is the recipe for you if you wish to try for yourself.

Arizona Beans

  • 2x tins beans and sausages
  • 1x tin kidney beans
  • 1x jar chilli sauce
  • 2x tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 onion roughly chopped
  • 1 pack bacon lardons

Put all the tins and jars into the slow cooker remembering to rinse the beans. Fry off the onion and bacon till cooked then add to the bean mixture together with the sugar mix well and leave for at least six hours. I serve with rice or jacket potatoes.
